Problem

The issue was that our Sentry instance was hanging which caused our dashboard to slow down as it was waiting on Sentry.

Cause

Our Sentry service was not monitored as we don't see it as part of our critical infrastructure.

Solution

We will update our dashboard to asynchronously report to Sentry to prevent dashboard requests from hanging again.

Services are back up and running again. We are migrating the last VMs running on this host.

This issue has been resolved. We will monitor this hypervisor closely for the time being. All important services are being migrated to another hypervisor.

Problem:
Our website was unavailable due to a hanging NGINX process. Because the service was still active we were not immediately notifed of this.

Action:
To prevent this from happening again we will start monitoring our website's status code as well.
